About
Opening in 2025: Polish Paratroopers Memory Hall
The Polish Paratroopers Memory Hall thrives on collaboration, preservation, inclusivity, legacy, education, and engagement. We foster a sense of shared ownership by involving the community in every step of the exhibition process, ensuring that stories and memorabilia are preserved for future generations.
We actively encourage contributions from diverse voices to enrich the narrative, honouring the memory of the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade and their significant contributions. By providing opportunities for learning through shared stories and artefacts, we build connections between individuals, families, and communities, fostering a deeper understanding of shared heritage. We maintain open communication throughout, ensuring that all contributions are transparently integrated into the research and exhibition, creating a meaningful and inclusive experience for all.
We look forward to hearing your memories.

Mission
The Hall was conceived to preserve the legacy of the Brigade, highlight its contributions to critical military operations like Operation Market Garden, and honour the sacrifices made by its members.
It also aims to strengthen ties between Poland and Scotland, showcasing the shared wartime history and the integration of Polish soldiers into Scottish society.
Collaborative Efforts
The Polish Paratroopers Memory Hall's development involved collaboration with local Scottish councils, Polish veterans’ organisations, and heritage institutions.
Funding and advisory support were provided by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, emphasising the collective and international importance of the project.
